Can I tell you,..what I saw today?
So far, and up, away?
Two lovers, at dance, in the air.
The stage was set for the loving duet
with blue and white cotton clouds.
They turned and they soared
and I thought the crowd roared
for the two, for the two in love with the air.
The dip and the dive, they both had arrived
to give to those who would take time to see.
Their timing? Precise; wing tips on ice.
They respected the others’ next move.
A loop without care, to the other, a dare.
A glance, to make my art prove.
And then, as by chance,
they noticed their dance.
Their exit was swift and sure.
I lost them to others, that might .
look up from their druthers
and breathe, peace to receive.
All the things we fight.
To see what life has in sight
Just to rest and believe.
